POLO衫的范圍窄，它有特定的款式；而T恤衫是泛稱，在我國，T恤衫可以是翻領(lǐng)的T恤，也可以是圓領(lǐng)或V領(lǐng)的T恤，甚經(jīng)常有人把POLO衫也稱為T恤，但圓領(lǐng)T恤和V領(lǐng)T恤卻不能稱為POLO衫。
